Event Management

With experience as a racing facility manager, race series director, drift series director, lead instructor, and driver, I have learned to be resourceful, to think proactively, to be a leader, and a team player.  I have developed strong logistical coordination skills and have years of experience managing driving course layout, design, and venue planning.   I am well versed in public speaking, delivering presentations, and leading staff meetings.  My consideration of safety within an event is top of mind, and I strive to give the best experience possible to the client. 

ROK The Rockies Race Director 2019 Race director for the ROK The Rockies kart racing series at SBR Motorsports Park in Calhan, Colorado. Deliver drivers meetings, officiate all on-track activity, manage corner worker staff, and assess all driving/racing scenarios.

Track Manager: Pikes Peak International Raceway 2015-2019.  Developed new driving programs for PPIR such as the Time Attack and Drift Series, Performance Driving Xperience, corporate driving experiences and more. Director of all PPIR programs. Hired and trained staff for events at the raceway. Managed all rental contracts and maintained rental client relationships. Managed the raceway calendars including the usage of the 1.3 mile road course, 12 acre autocross lot, 2 mile dirt road course, and other available spaces for rent and use at PPIR.

Owner / Chief Instructor: Apex Speed Kart Racing School 2015. Started a kart racing school in partnership with SBR Motorsports Park in Calhan, CO. Directed the Arrive and Race Series and operated high-performance kart racing schools for private groups and the general public.

Lead Instructor and Event Organizer: Sonoma Raceway 2007 - 2014.   Regularly designed and built course layouts for autocross style driving events, assisted Sonoma Raceway staff with logistics and planning for corporate and charity events, scheduled and managed drivers for hot lap events and other professional driving services. Regularly welcomed corporate groups and charities to the raceway with presentations and instructional briefings.

Series Director: Sonoma Drift Series 2012 - 2014.  Created the series rule book, scheduled and managed judges for the events, managed event media, managed points championship standings, created course layouts, created professional track map graphics, delivered all drivers meetings, and managed event logistics.

Race Director: Simraceway A&D Race Series 2013.  Created the series rule book, managed the points championship standings, created race series schedule, wrote monthly news letters for the participants and spectators, delivered all drivers meetings, and worked closely with the Redline Oil Karting Championship for scheduling of on-track activities, safety requirements, and other track support needs.

General Manager of Simraceway PKC kart racing facility 2012 - 2013.  Established and maintained successful business partnerships. Created staff operational manuals, kart racing school program curriculum, staffing schedules, event calendars, track map graphics, and promotional videos. Managed staff training and scheduling, facility usage, competition and practice events, rental contracts, kart shop inventory, and all other managerial tasks.
